247 - The former partial judge, now Senator, Sergio Moro, the suspended judge Gabriela Hardt, and the former prosecutor and ousted congressman, Deltan Dallagnol, have come together to divert 2.5 billion reais from the Brazilian State through a foundation "aimed at serving private interests.” The information comes from Veja magazine.

The accusation is part of the report of the investigation by the National Council of Justice (CNJ) on irregularities in Car Wash, in Curitiba. One day after the CNJ suspended Hardt from the Judiciary, Moro is targeted for trial at the body.

“The diversion of the money was only averted due to a decision by the Supreme Federal Court,” says the CNJ. The investigation indicates that the trio had the collaboration of Petrobras managers and U.S. public agents to divert the funds.

The audit was conducted by Minister Luís Felipe Salomão, of the Superior Court of Justice, while chief justice.

As Moro is no longer a judge, the CNJ can send a criminal complaint to the Federal Public Ministry to proceed with a criminal investigation against him. His trial occurs at the same time as serious abuses committed by the Curitiba task force come to light.
