Moraes Orders Pre-trial Detention of Mauro Cid After Audio Leaks
Reasons cited were non-compliance with measures and obstruction of justice

247 - Supreme Federal Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes has ordered, this Friday (22), the pre-trial detention of Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid, former aide-de-camp to Jair Bolsonaro.
The decision comes after the leak of audios in which Cid attacks the Federal Police and Minister Moraes. In the recordings released by Veja magazine, Cid accuses the magistrate and PF agents of having a "ready narrative" in investigations into the attempted coup d'état.
Cid was first arrested in May 2023, in the investigations on the falsification of Bolsonaro's vaccination cards. In September, after six months of detention, the former aide made a plea bargain agreement and was released.
