Padilha Reiterates Tension with Lira After Attacks from the Speaker of the House is 'Absolutely Overcome'

247 - Alexandre Padilha, Minister Chief of the Secretariat of Institutional Relations, stated that the crisis with the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), is resolved, following verbal attacks from the congressman.

“I came into politics to bring people together, not to attack. I learned that throughout my political life. For me, this episode is absolutely overcome. The government's dialogue with the National Congress is maintained, and the government's agenda moves forward,” Padilha said in an interview with CNN Brasil on Monday (22).

Earlier this month, Lira lashed out at Padilha, calling the minister "incompetent" after being questioned about the possible weakening of his leadership in the House.
