Pimenta announces "largest February Caged in history," with over 300,000 jobs created

247 - The Minister-Chief of the Secretariat for Social Communication (Secom) of the Presidency of the Republic, Paulo Pimenta, anticipated on Tuesday (26) that Brazil generated 300,000 jobs in the month of February.

The Ministry of Labor and Employment will release the data on formal job openings from the General Registry of Employees and Unemployed (Caged) for February on Wednesday (27), still without a defined time. Reuters' survey expects there to have been an opening of 245,000 jobs last month.

According to the Minister-Chief of Secom, President Lula's government has been preparing the conditions to generate economic growth. "We generated 180,000 jobs in January, and tomorrow we will announce the largest February Caged in the history of Brazil, with over 300,000 jobs created in Brazil in the month. Interest rates have started to drop, inflation is under control, the lowest unemployment rates, Petrobras returning to serve the Brazilian people. We have prepared the conditions for the country to resume growth, and obviously this bothers many people," said Pimenta during a solemn session at the District Chamber, DF, at the event honoring the 13th anniversary of Brasil 247.
